Desert Solace is seeking an individual for full-time staff support to assist the clinical staff in providing secure, safe, and supportive treatment to inpatients struggling with pornography and sex addictions. Full-time staff will have a regular schedule of approximately 40 hrs. / week.
Desert Solace is a 24-hour healthcare facility with both full- and part-time staff who cover regularly scheduled shifts. Staff members are scheduled for regular shifts of 8 - 12 hours. Shifts are generally from 11 AM to 10:00 PM. Weekend shifts are mandatory, although we can work with your schedule depending on the circumstances. This is an excellent position for individuals who would like to gain experience in the mental health field.

Responsibilities:
Our support staff works closely with patients of Desert Solace. They provide daily support to our clients and are expected to mentor healthy attitudes and behaviors. Staff members prepare and eat meals with the patients and join them in a variety of experiential therapies such as recreation, Yoga, hikes and other group support activities such as 12-step meetings. Care Techs work directly with patients in goal setting and follow up, and are responsible to enforce program rules.
Schedule: Approximately 40 hours/week with occasional overtime
Individuals with experience in addiction recovery are preferred, but 6 months of solid recovery is required for those who have experienced addiction themselves. Because we treat men who are dealing with pornography and other sexual addictions, we are looking for men to fill this position.
