Our SpringHill Suites by Marriott will open in October 2019 and we are seeking an experienced Director of Sales to open our hotel in sunny St. George. The hotel is in a prime location in St. George located on the Green Spring Golf Course with picturesque views of the course, the Red Cliffs National Conservation Area and Pine Valley Mountain. The hotel will also have the largest outdoor hotel pool in the St. George market, providing a resort style feel to the property and making it a destination hotel for all types of travelers visiting this area. This position represents an opportunity for a top performing hospitality professional to join a growing company committed to excellence in every aspect of hotel operations.

Job Duties & Responsibilities:

- Develops and maintains marketing plan and sales budget with the General Manager.

- Provides sales training to staff of hotel as applicable.

- Participates in Revenue Management strategies using such tools as Star reports, demand analysis and applicable front office systems.

- Schedules and completes sales appointments

- Conducts a required amount of sales activities including telemarketing, cold calls, e-mailing and prospecting.

- Organizes, maintains, and tracks sales data.

- Completes requests of General Manager and other management personnel, as applicable.

Knowledge, Skills, & Abilities:

- Dependability - Requires the ability to meet the demands of the work schedule, to be at work and on time. Will occasionally require the ability to work outside of regularly scheduled hours. Schedules may vary based on business need.

- Strong client and candidate relationship management skills, including a strong ability to influence others.

- Must have outstanding communication skills.

- Positive teamwork orientation; strong organizational skills; high detail-orientation and ability to multi-task.

- Strong market research capabilities and the ability to professionally present research to senior management.

- Strong sourcing (computer and networking software) skills and ability to generate leads.

- Ability to develop creative approaches to source business in challenging niche markets.

- Marriott Experience Preferred but not required.
