This position works on the Cox Trucking tractors in our beautiful state-of-the-art maintenance facility. Room for growth and advancement.
This position is required to work on Saturdays as part of the part-time work schedule.
As a member of the maintenance team, Apprentice Mechanics perform thorough inspections and preventive maintenance in accordance with factory and industry standards, helping keep the Cox Trucking Fleet safely on the road. There is often on-the-job training for the Apprentice Mechanic. This position assures accurate records are kept of repair orders. Assists with maintaining the cleanliness of the shop. Each position in the shop takes pride and expert care in maintaining the fleet of Cox Trucking trailers and tractors assuring equipment is in excellent working condition at all times. Works as a team by doing whatever is assigned to make sure both maintenance on equipment and facilities are addressed to company standards. Works closely with other team members to meet company goals. Works toward the goal of zero breakdowns.
Mechanics are required to obtain a Class A CDL License (we pay) and pass the company Fitness for Duty test.
