Job Description

Job Title: Mechanical Technician Location: West Jordan, UT Duration: Direct-hire, long-term Pay range: 55-60K DOE Travel: Up to 35% domestic Job Responsibilities: Mechanical assembly of machines within project schedules Receive and Issue parts to jobs or customer orders as needed. Interface with all project teams (i.e. Software/Electrical Engineer, Mechanical Engineer, Assemblers, Production Manager) Study, read, and understand the schematic diagrams, product manuals, process documents, and gather information regarding its parts, fixtures, tools, etc. Set up, arrange, and operate equipment as per the specifications and instructions from the supervisor Prepare machines for shipment to customer sites, including troubleshooting and crating Install machines at customer site Train the customer on all aspects of the machine Deliver technical support, coaching and direction to end users and field labor when applicable Troubleshooting, repairing and performing maintenance on our equipment which include PLC`s, Pneumatics, and Electrical Systems. Documents service and installation actions by completing reports, and records. Provide service and customer support during field visits or dispatches Diagnose errors or technical problems and determine proper solutions Job Requirements: Technical or college degree 2+ years experience as a mechanical assembly and/or field service technician preferably in the food industry Mechanical/programming background preferred. Skilled in programming, job startup and checkout, and troubleshooting. Ability to use all hand tools Ability to read/understand AutoCAD mechanical drawings and schematics and do redlines. Familiarity with machine shop equipment (e.g. mill machine, drill press, lathe) Proficient in MS Office (Excel, Word, Outlook)and general computer literacy Must be a self starter, team player, work well with others and have a positive attitude Ability to safely operate a fork lift is required. Knowledge of the software to be able to make programming changes and adjustments where necessary (e.g. HMI/PLC Allen Bradley Controller) Must be able and willing to travel and work at customer sites Proven field service experience Be a part of the ConsultNet difference.
