Job Title: DrafterLocation: Salt Lake City, UTDuration: Contract-to-direct hire, long-termSalary range: $20.50-30/hr DOEJob Responsibilities:Work with Designers and Engineers within the substation engineering group to update and develop drawing sets, diagrams, and other CAD deliverables related to substation design. Both AutoCAD and MicroStation software experience is needed, as is being knowledgeable in drafting methods, procedures and techniques, including the use of XREF files, blocks, borders, templates, pallets, etc. Will develop substation one-line drawings, site plans, foundation drawings, structure detail drawings, grading drawings, conduit plans, bus details, equipment specification details, electrical wiring and schematic diagrams.Job Requirements:College degree or two-year technical certificate in computer-aided drafting/design and a minimum of 2 years of computer-aided drafting and designer experience required; industry related work experience preferred (utility, etc. industry).Must possess advanced computer skills and be an expert in the use, operation and maintenance of AutoCAD and also preferably MicroStation.Effective verbal and written communication skills.They must demonstrate an ability to learn, understand, and utilize a variety of client CADD standards, and be detailed and organized in all work performed.
