Maplehill School seeks a licensed Special Educator who will work with our Special Education Coordinator and educational team to develop curriculum and support the goals of all Maplehill School students. The Special Educator is responsible for drafting IEP goals including transition goals, providing remedial instruction, working with the team in developing and enhancing students’ social and life skills, gathering information needed for IEP meetings, completing classroom observations and data collection on students’ progress.
The ideal candidate will bring enthusiasm and creativity to their work with middle and high school students in a therapeutic learning environment. The candidate should be familiar with current Special Education rules of law. They should have the communication skills to facilitate and coordinate services for students, with their families, LEAs and Maplehill faculty, staff and administrators.
