Weston & Sampson is hiring an Engineer l with our Wastewater Discipline with 0 to 4 years of experience in our Waterbury, Vermont office. The candidate will have 0 to 4 years of experience for evaluation, design, and construction of municipal wastewater collection and treatment systems.
What you’ll do:
-The selected individual will assist project managers with the preparation of engineering studies, design plans and specifications.
-Will often visit job sites to perform project tasks including, field tests, data gathering, field inspections, surveying and construction observation.
-The office work may include engineering design, data review and tabulation, data management and analysis, and preparation of technical reports.
-The selected individual should expect to work on a variety of civil engineering projects at any given time as workload requires but an emphasis will be placed primarily on wastewater system planning, wastewater treatment and industrial wastewater pre-treatment systems and related projects.
What you will bring:
-Bachelor of Science degree in Civil/Environmental Engineering with wastewater process and treatment emphasis
-Strong AutoCAD Civil 3D drafting and design skills
-Proficiency in use of Microsoft excel for data analysis
-Strong written and verbal communication skills
-Background in hydraulics
-Industrial wastewater treatment or operations experience is a plus
-EIT Certification in Vermont is a plus
-Thorough knowledge of Microsoft Office Suite software products
-Must have a valid driver’s license and be willing to travel as required
-A positive attitude and willingness to continue learning as new tasks are assigned and new projects are undertaken
