We adhere to the principles of a just and fair work environment for all colleagues, where respect is foundational and performance is rewarded.Scheduled Hours Thirty Six hours; DaysQualifications ADMINISTRATIVE SUPERVISOR- NURSING SUPPORT SERVICESPosition Summary: Under general direction of the Nurse Manager, patient Flow and Nursing resources, in collaboration with Nurse Managers and within the Lahey Clinic Professional Practice Model, MA Nurse Practice Act and ANA Standards of Practice and Code of Ethics, manages and supervises patient flow and human resource allocation for medical-surgical units, all critical care areas, ED and for outpatients requiring admission during the evening and night shifts Responds to calls from LC physicians for assistance in expediting the transition of a patient whose level of care has changed. Responds to calls from referring physicians and facilities requesting access to tertiary care for patients. Collaborates with Admitting Department, critical care intensivists and ED physicians to insure that patients receive the appropriate level of care. Collaborates with Environmental Services to facilitate patient room turn around and to maintain the defined standard of environment of care. Minimum Qualifications:Education: Bachelor’s degree preferred. Knowledge of nursing theory and practice acquired through completion of an accredited program in professional nursing in order to be eligible for licensure as a Registered Nurse.Licensure, Certification, Registration: Requires current license to practice professional nursing from the Massachusetts Board of Registration and Basic Life Support (BLS) certificationSkills, Knowledge & Abilities: Requires knowlodedge Nursing’s and Lahey Clinic’s policies and procedures, Clinic’s philosophy, goals and objectives in order to coordinate diverse organizational activities during evening and night hours.Experience: Five to seven years of medical/surgical nursing experience, preferably at a tertiary care facility. Approximately two to three years Lahey experience necessary in order to learn Clinic policies and procedures, philosophy and objectives, in order to coordinate diverse organizational activities during evening and night hours.REQNUMBER: 157267-1A
