Manufacturing Technician needed for Kelly at Honda Aero in Burlington, NC. Are you good with building model airplanes, cars? Like working with your hands and detailed orientated? Honda Aero is excited to get you started.Essential Job DutiesSets up machines according to procedures, work instructions, engineering instructions, and other recognized methods of instructions to cut, form, deburr, heat, and mark to meet requirements.

Perform a variety of manufacturing activities involved in the preparation and fabrication of composite aerospace parts and assembly operations in a production environment.

Proficient in use of hand tools such as drill motors, screw gun, die grinder, and routers.

Inspects, maintains, and logs preventative maintenance on equipment needed for fabricating and welding.

Quality checks using gauges, calipers, micrometers, height gauges, etc.

Must maintain internal skills matrix.

Complies with internal quality system and regulatory requirements.

Lean Manufacturing, general housekeeping, work in a teaming environment, 5S and COP.

Cleans work area, tools, and equipment at end of shift.

ExperienceMinimum of 2 years manufacturing experience preferred.

Knowledge of composite fabrication preferred.

Familiar with computer tracking systems.

Strong understanding and use of inspection methods/tools.

Must be able to work independently and take on new challenges.

Good attention to detail and eye/hand coordination skills.

Interprets specifications, blueprints and work instructions.

Work ConditionsClimate-controlled production environment.

Regular exposure to the manufacturing areas which under certain circumstances require the use of personal protective equipment such as safety glasses with side shields, mandatory hearing protection and safety shoes.

Ability to frequently stand, walk, and sit as well as regular use of hands, fingers, and arms.

Ability to lift up to 30 pounds.
