Posting Summary To identify, recruit, and provide services to eligible pregnant women and families through the Expanded Food and Nutrition Education Program ( EFNEP ). The EFNEP Nutrition Educator provides nutrition/physical activity, food safety, and resource management education to pregnant women, families with young children, and youth in a designated county or geographic area of Vermont. The educator’s primary purpose will be to help families acquire the knowledge, skills, and changes in behavior to achieve adequate diets providing normal nutrition.Minimum Qualifications (or equivalent combination of education and experience) High school diploma/G.E.D. and one to three years of related experience working the adults and/or children, and basic nutrition knowledge required. Computer and electronic communication proficiency required. Demonstrated ability to work independently. Ability to travel extensively within service area and provide own reliable transportation to and from work sites (client homes and community settings).
