Posting Details Position will be posted for a minimum of one week, after which it is subject to removal without notice.Advertising Copy The Department of Medicine at University of Vermont’s Larner College of Medicine seeks an outstanding physician leader to serve as the department’s first Vice Chair for Clinical Affairs. This position will include 50% administrative effort to provide physician leadership to the Department’s clinical operations across a network of six hospitals. The Vice Chair for Clinical Affairs will have several areas of responsibility:
Ensuring timely access to primary and specialty care
Integrating services and care across the region
Developing recruitment strategies to meet clinical and academic goals
Fostering clinical innovation
Supporting quality, clinical research and education across the network department
Maintaining an active clinical practice in general internal medicine, hospital medicine, or a subspecialty of medicine.
Qualifications include an MD or DO degree, board certification in internal medicine and/or a subspecialty of medicine, and operational leadership experience. The successful candidate will demonstrate excellent communication skills, a record of successful collaborations, and a commitment to advancing high-value, patient-centered care.
