Looking for a sous chef type and/or Jedi master to join our kitchen team at The Big Spruce in Richmond. We're a fun, fast paced scratch kitchen focused on Mexican fusion cuisine featuring house made tortillas and experimental Mexican food with a focus on local products.
Creativity and collaboration is actively encouraged, responsible use of the force is also encouraged. This is a great opportunity for someone to advance to a managerial role and help develop a great culinary program. We like responsible people with a sense of humor, good work ethic, and a love for food. We are a very accepting and loving group of people, trying to create a positive and affirming work environment in this industry. There will be many unique and fun events and opportunities to be a part of and your voice will be heard in the kitchen.
Experience in a scratch kitchen preferred, but not necessary, we are always willing to train the right people.
We are take out only until our grand outdoor opening May the 4th, (if you know, you know). Come join us as we dive into an array of food explorations, including taco stands, catering, outdoor pit cooking, pig roasts, experimental creemee's and more!
