COMPANY OVERVIEW
All Souls Tortilleria is a Vermont-based food business using nixtamalization and stone-grinding to make delicious corn tortillas and fresh masa. We source organic corn for a high quality, nutrient-dense product. We are currently expanding our fried chip production and we recently launched a new line of organic flour tortillas in a separate facility, also in the Old North End of Burlington.

RESPONSIBILITIES:
We are looking for a new team member to help produce tortillas and fulfill orders. Each team member needs to become proficient at each production step in the bakery, with the ability to move from one station to the next. This job requires working well with others in a hot environment and work days ranging from 6-10 hours. Employees must be able to lift 50 lbs regularly, must be punctual and detail-oriented. Experience in kitchens and familiarity with kitchen hygiene and sanitation protocols is preferred.
PRODUCTION DUTIES COULD INCLUDE
Prepping Work Space and Equipment and maintaining orderliness
Washing and Grinding of Corn
Tortilla Oven Oversight
Tortilla Counting and Stacking
Packaging
Preparing finished Product for Order Fulfillment
Cleaning
Frying Chips
Making Flour Tortillas
WORK LOAD
Currently All Souls Tortilleria is looking to hire a Production Assistant for 2-3 days a week (Monday, Tuesdays, Wednesdays, and/or Thursdays generally from 9:30-5:30) with potential to increase days and time in the future.
COMPENSATION
Initial starting pay of $13/hr with options to increase after trial/training period and as merit warrants. Other benefits include retirement savings matching program, accrued paid time off and tasty staff lunch!
Our shops are located at 191 N Union St and 88 Oak St both in the Old North End of Burlington.
