In need of trustworthy respite workers for my twin boys with Autism.
Must be a high energy and outgoing person that can stay calm in stressful situations. The twins have some anxieties about trying new things, looking for someone that can be encouraging and fun. A couple of people for, one on one with the twins, and sometimes will have to be together so the twins can do things together.
Boy life is a fun life. They love to be outdoors as much as possible. Swimming, fishing, hiking, riding bikes, and scooters the possibilities are endless. They are also down to chill and play some video games on a rainy day. Maybe draw a picture or two and build some legos. So much more and maybe you can introduce something fun into their growing interests.
It is a MUST to have your own reliable, and SAFE transportation. Also must hold a valid drivers license. Must be flexible in schedule and occasional on call and overnight availability. Weekends are a must as well. You will be able to have occasional weekends off. State Background checks will be run during the application process to pass to work. Must uphold a clean appearance as you will sometimes be picking kids up from school and meeting teachers.
Must be animal friendly and willing to let dogs out to potty. Cats are tended but we have two. Also housekeeping is a must. Dishes, sweeping, cleaning kids room (They just need a hand.)
Your job is to help the twins learn life skills that are challenging to them. To have fun and enjoy the world around them but help them learn to be safe.
