Cathedral Square is teaming up with Vermont Housing Conservation Board to select an AmeriCorps Member for our Community Enrichment Specialist position. The Specialist is responsible for enhancing resident quality of life through the development and presentation of programing for our Memory Care residents. The CE Specialist will engage and connect with our community members, enhancing their functioning, social interaction, and expression. The CE Specialist assists resident volunteers in the provision of activities and programs developed by the Program Coordinator. They serve in partnership with the Program Coordinator to design programing on a monthly basis.
Must have a high school diploma or equivalent GED. Preference for minimum of an Associate's Degree in a related field with at least two years prior experience working with elders. Previous experience in working with individuals with Dementia is preferred. Position starts September 10, 2018 to August 9, 2019 at Memory Care at Allen Brook, Williston. The CE Specialist will be given a full time living allowance, benefits as well as an education award upon completion of the 11+ month commitment.
