The VTDigger.org Membership Coordinator will be responsible for managing the company's donor database, membership and fundraising programs and related donor relations activities.
The responsibilities include maintaining updated donor records in our CRM, responding to comments and questions regarding donor history, troubleshoot and process donations, work with the business team to plan and execute fundraising campaigns.
The Membership Coordinator will work with the business team to identify and implement tactics that result in donor conversion, retention and development to accomplish strategic goals.
The ideal candidate is either an events or campaign coordinator who understands the diverse needs of nonprofit finances or a nonprofit fundraising professional who enjoys front-facing donor relations.
We are looking for a team player who has:
A demonstrated ability to write clear and passionate solicitations
Ability to make judgment calls that advance our mission and generate donor loyalty.
Proficiency with databases, attentiveness to detail, and an data-driven attitude
Ability to communicate with the public effectively and politely online
Experience with PayPal, Donor Tools (CRM), MailChimp, WordPress, Eventbrite, Google Drive and MS Office Suite
Experience with spreadsheets a must
Comfort with rudimentary HTML for styling elements
The candidate will preferably hold an undergraduate degree in Communication, Marketing, Digital Marketing, Business, or Public Administration and proven experience with teams. Related experience with an internship or co-op is a plus.
