Shearer Chevrolet Buick GMC Cadillac is seeking a Service Advisor to add to our top notch service team. The person who fills this role must have exemplary customer service skills, as they will consult with customers regarding their vehicle repair needs, as well as sell and schedule work within the service department.

Job Responsibilities:

- Greet customers in a timely and friendly manner.

- Obtain vehicle information.

- Detail customer's vehicle problems accurately and clearly on repair order.

- Advise customers on the care of their cars and the value of maintaining their vehicles in accordance with manufacturers' specifications.

- Provides complete and accurate written cost estimate for labor and parts.

- Establishes promised time, checking with foreman or dispatcher.

- Establishes customer's method of payment, obtains credit approval, if necessary.

- Monitors progress of repair throughout the day.

- Contacts customers regarding any changes in the estimate or promised time, explains cost and time requirements in detail, and gets proper authorization before any additional repairs are performed.

- Handles telephone inquiries regarding appointments and work in process.

- All other duties as assigned.

Education and Requirements:

- Maintain positive attitude and strong work ethic.

- Be detail oriented and able to work in fast paced environment.

- Ability to use PCs, printers, and related equipment

- Knowledgeable of automotive repair and parts

- Must have a valid Driver's License

- High School Diploma or eqivalent

- Two to four years related experience and/or training; or equivalent combination of education and experience.
