Summary of Role \: GlobalFoundries seeks an experienced Electrical Engineer to work with our Process Yield, Failure Analysis, mmWave Test Engineers as well as the Customer Design Engineering team to develop a test strategy which is consistent with the limitations of the process technology, manufacturing test equipment and the customer's product requirements. The Engineer would interface directly with GlobalFoundries's external customs to understand their requirements and their key test parameters which are sensitive to the process technology or the circuit. They would work with the GlobalFoundries Test Engineers to understand test equipment limitations and tester losses and where and how test data is stored, accesses and measured. They would have access to a set of world class R, C and Python test analysis tools to analyze data. The Engineer will also work with our Sales team, Process, RF Designers and Process Yield Analysis Engineers to understand GlobalFoundries mmWave Silicon technology and manufacturing limitations. The Engineer will work in a highly skilled team of CS and ME Engineers at various levels contributing to their inventing and continuously improving the competitive position of our custom mmWave test systems. Essential Responsibilities \:

  • Communicate with our Customer's engineering design staff on the product requirements for testing their mmWave automotive components.
  • Understand the basic design of mmWave circuits and the electrical equipment required to measure those circuits.
  • Understand the fundamentals of statistic, and the calculation of cp and cpk.
  • Write analysis scripts or R routines to leverage DB2 or Oracle data.
  • Build relationships with our customers to leverage GlobalFoundries resources to make our customers successful.
  • Perform all activities in a safe and responsible manner and support all Environmental, Health, Safety & Security requirements, and programs
Qualification: Required Qualifications \:

  • Master's Degree Electrical Engineering or Relevant Discipline
  • Minimum of 8 Years of Relevant Experience working with automotive semiconductor products in design, test, or characterization.
  • Experience programming in a script language and R
  • 2 Years' Experience Designing or testing semiconductors for Automotive applications
  • Experience calculating failure rates and doing problem solving on Automotive burn-in fails
  • Minimal Travel Required
  • Language Fluency - English (Written & Verbal)
Preferred Qualifications\:
  • PhD Electrical RF Engineering or Related Discipline
  • Knowledge of Automotive burn-in and quality requirements
  • Experience working with 77GHz Radar products in test, quality or design
  • Experience designing circuits for Automotive applications
  • Hands on experience with Qualifying products for Automotive applications
  • Knowledge of R, Matlab, Python or equivalent data analysis software
