Position Title\: Sr Engineer Test Engineering

Hours\: Monday - Friday, 8\:00 am to 5\:00 pm

Summary of Duties\: Interface directly with GlobalFoundries customers to create custom millimeter wave (mmWave) manufacturing test solutions for their integrated circuits on wafers fabricated in GlobalFoundries. Create test requirements, design mmWave hardware, and debug test hardware. Write C test programs on internally developed microwave tester for testing mmWave wafers or packaged devices. Develop a test solution using internally developed Tester with state of the art RF and digital circuitry. Invent and continuously improve our systems for testing mmWave semiconductors Communicate with our Customer's engineering staff on the product requirements for testing their mmWave components. Design test circuit boards using Cadence Allegro, which will interface between the device under test and the test equipment. Write test programs using C in a Linux environment to test the mmWave circuits. Qualification: Qualifications\: Requires a Master's degree in Electrical Engineering, Computer Engineering, or related field of study plus 1 year of experience in the job offered or 1 year of experience designing or developing test solutions for RF devices, or related occupation.

Job requires experience in\: working with RF/Microwave circuit designs and simulators using AWR MWO; testing circuit boards with required equipment in the lab; understanding RF/Microwave design fundamentals for a variety of circuits using AWR MWO and the ability to analyze and design transmission line media and matching networks for complex impedances; fundamental programming in languages such as C/C, Java, and Unix; TCL/Perl and Matlab software engineering concepts; understanding of the operating principles for microwave antennas used in modern wireless communications radar systems and design using HFSS; and measurement and experimental experience in anechoic chambers to confirm realistic antenna performance. The required experience can be gained concurrently through graduate-level coursework, internship, research or teaching experience.
