Summary of Role\: Fab 9 is seeking a skilled and motivated yield engineer to join the team. This role requires an organized individual with strong communication skills. The individual will have responsibilities to characterize signals from all sources (wafer test, kerf test, and inline), define and drive yield improvement projects while balancing the business objectives. The individual will be responsible for working across multiple teams within and outside of GLOBALFOUNDRIES, located in Essex, VT. Essential Responsibilities include\:

  • Analyze/characterize electrical test performance trends and correlations to process integration or equipment, disposition to specifications
  • Define and drive yield enhancement/improvement projects
  • Work with external customers as Fab9 focal point for technical interlocks, abnormal product investigations, yield analysis, improvement plans
  • Build relationships with internal partners, such as Operations, Unit Process, Integration, Supply Chain, Brand and Sales as appropriate
  • Must be flexible in job assignment and open to working on weekend shifts on rotational basis as required by the business
  • Perform all activities in a safe ad responsible manner and support all Environmental, Health, Safety & Security requirements, and programs
Qualification: Required Qualifications\:
  • B.E./B.Tech. in Electrical/Electronics Engineering with 0-4 years of relevant experience or M.S./M.Tech. in Electronics/Physics with 0-2 years of relevant experience
  • Basic understanding of semiconductor technology, solid state device physics and submicron FET architectures
  • Strong interpersonal skills and ability to work effectively within a globally matrixed team or environment
  • Aggressive learner and a strong team player, excellent analytical skills, on-time delivery of assigned work
  • Excellent verbal and written communication
  • Travel - 5 - 10%
  • Language Fluency - English (Written & Verbal)
Preferred Qualifications\:
  • Education - Advanced Degree in Electrical Engineering
  • Statistics and statistical software experience a plus
  • Programing or Scripting experience a plus
  • Experience with statistical analysis and data systems
