Shift & Schedule Availability: Full Time

Responsibilities:Responsible for preparing, serving and charging of drinks to guests, some food service required; mainly bar food service

Responsible for cash out

Responsible for efficient and accurate cash transactions for bar and wait staff

Set-up and breakdown of bar area at beginning and end of shift, including preparation and re-stocking at end of shift

Responsible for inventory reports as requested by Manager

Monitor guest drinking in accordance with Vermont Liquor Laws and assist staff with ID card clarification

Report unnecessary abusive language or belligerent behavior to Coleman Brook Tavern Manager

Work with staff to assure operation runs smoothly

Oversee operation in the absence of manager/kitchen manager

Skills:Ability to understand and fulfill the Principles, Dream, Plan and Values of Okemo Mountain Resort

Ability to carry out company’s expectations of guest service both internally and externally

Ability to work in fast paced environment, in close proximity to team members

Guest service oriented and possession of strong organizational, mathematical and interpersonal skills, communication, both verbal; including phone skills and written, general mechanical skills and computer literacy

Good judgment skills as they relate to Vermont Liquor Laws, as well as, serving the public in a courteous manner

Ability to pour liquor with accuracy, knowledge of mixology a must

Strong knowledge of mixed drinks, with general knowledge of wines and good salability

Physical Demands:Ability to stand and bend for extended periods of time (8-10 hours/day), as well as, frequent overhead reaching

Ability to lift, stock and rotate cases of liquor, as well as move kegs

Ability to lift 50 pounds (medium lifting)

Certifications/Diplomas/Prerequisites:High School diploma required or equivalent

Hold and maintain Vermont Liquor Board certification

3-5 Years previous experience as a bartender
