Responsibilities: This position is with a well-respected dairy cooperative plant that produces cheese and whey. Key responsibilities include but are not limited to:
- Diagnose and troubleshoot motor controls and automation systems along with mechanical and manufacturing equipment.
- Troubleshoot, configure and calibrate instrumentation (temperature, pressure, level and flow), chart recorders, and single loop controllers.
- Lead design and installation projects
- PLC and HMI programming
- Maintain and troubleshoot industrial networks.
This full-time position will work Sunday through Thursday with a choice of either the 12:00am-8:30am, 8:00pm-4:30am or 10:00pm-6:30am shift. Work schedule requires working some scheduled holidays and availability for periodic overtime including off- hour troubleshooting on occasion.
Requirements: Some formal education, including technical school, is desired but not required plus 3 or more years of experience working with PLCs in a manufacturing setting. Strong educational background may be considered in lieu of experience. Experience with any of the following is a plus: Rockwell Controllogix, SLC 500, PLC 5 Software, HMI Factory Talk View SE, Factory Talk View ME and PID loops.
