Job Description

As a Senior Cyber Security Analyst, you will monitor, triage, and set forth remediation plans to mitigate security risks and ensure threats are identified, analyzed, and mitigated 24 hours a day, 7 days a week. As a member of this team, you will identify and analyze potential security vulnerabilities and emerging threats, execute incident response process when a security incident has been declared, and research external trusted intelligence sources and leverage knowledge to detect events of interest. You will also provide leadership in the building and deployment of tools and processes to support adherence to security objectives. Working Environment Hybrid & Onsite: No Relocation Assistance Offered This position offers a Hybrid & Onsite working environment. Meaning you will split working time between a Cerner office or client site and remote. If your current geographical location requires relocating, Cerner will not offer relocation assistance to the specified location. #LI-Hybrid

Qualifications

Basic Qualifications
  • At least 8 years total combined related work experience and completed higher education, including:
    • At least 2 years information systems security work experience
    • At least 6 years additional work experience directly related to the duties of the job and/or completed higher education, including:
      • Bachelor's degree in Computer Engineering, Computer Science, Information Security, Information Systems, Mathematics, Software Engineering, or related field, or equivalent relevant work experience

Preferred Qualifications
  • Certified Information Systems Security Professional (CISSP) - (ISC)²
  • EnCase Certified Examiner (EnCE) - EnCase
  • At least 3 years of Information systems security standards and practices including: access control, system hardening, system audit, log file monitoring, security policies and incident handling
  • At least 3 years work experience of security issues for desktop, virtual, cloud services and network infrastructures
  • At least 3 years working with firewalls, network security, Palo Alto and end point protection work experience

Expectations
  • Must reside in or around the Rutland, VT area
  • Ability to obtain the following certifications within 6 months of employment: GCIA, CEH, GCIH, GCFA, SCYBER
  • Perform other responsibilities as assigned
  • Willing to travel up to 20% as needed
  • Willing to work additional or irregular hours as needed and allowed by local regulations
  • Willing to work on call shifts as needed
  • Work in accordance with corporate and organizational security policies and procedures, understand personal role in safeguarding corporate and client assets, and take appropriate action to prevent and report any compromises of security within scope of position
