Please note that this is a 6-12 months contract position. Work must be done onsite, 7:30 am startConduct inspections on final assemblies/models, in-process assemblies and subassemblies to determine compliance with Engineering documentation. Analyze and resolve discrepant material issues and or ‘push’ material to a Material Review Board (MRB). Assist in fulfillment of special customer requests and orders.Responsibilities:Inspect complete assemblies and subassemblies from client’s Assembly Shop, or vendors, per requirements of Engineering drawings and BOMs. Review all Data Sheets to ensure that the Assembly personnel have completed the Engineering test requirements and all data sheet requirements. Ensure both physical and electronic outputs files are either printed or stored on the appropriate network with passing results.Record results of inspection activities in Inspection History Folders and/or in Data Sheets.Document discrepancies for nonconforming material in EPICOR. Act as a QA representative in the disposition of minor discrepancies. Escalate major discrepancies (requiring re-testing dispositions) to a MRB status.Re-inspect any rework activities associated with nonconformance's and MRBs.Interact with Incoming Inspection, PTE, Engineering and QA to determine appropriate corrective action for discrepancies.Conduct special testing for Contract Customers when listed on BOMsCoordinate the action required for special requests from Marketing and Sales for customer shipments.When needed, assist other manufacturing departmentsMinimum Qualifications:Preferred Bachelor's Degree or equivalent experience in field of Quality Control, or 5 years’ experience in Inspection or Manufacturing environmentAbility to operate instrumentation helpfulAppropriate written communications skillsAbility to communicate to assemblers in a calm and respectful mannerAbility to multitask in a high-pressure environmentAbility to work late in the day, especially at month end timeframeApplicants must provide their phone number.
