Windows Applications Engineer
VA, Alexandria 22315 Security Clearance: U.S. Citizen, Current Security Clearance Skills: Windows Admin, SQL Server, Control-M, Microfocus ALM, LoadRunner, Worksoft, uPerformWe are recruiting for a Windows Applications Engineer to provide Windows applications support in an AWS cloud environment. Prior experience with Systems Engineering/Systems Architecture supporting Windows-based applications in an AWS environment is preferred. Location: Remote from a U.S. based location will be considered Duties and responsibilities include:- Provide installation, configuration, and maintenance support for production and non-production systems and Windows-based applications in a cloud environment (AWS)
- Provide support for system stability/availability and application management
- Provide automated testing support
- Support operations for troubleshooting, diagnosis, and resolution (Tier 3 support level)
- Support maintenance updates, technical configuration, and support for new system functionality
- Perform analysis for system optimization and capacity planning
- Support risk assessments
- Work directly with the Information Assurance team to implement STIGs
- Other tasks, as assigned
- U.S. citizenship
- Current security clearance (Secret at a minimum)
- Bachelor's degree preferred; will consider military experience and/or additional years of related experience in lieu of a degree
- Current Security+ CE certification (required for consideration)
- 3-10 years of systems engineering/systems architecture experience supporting Windows-based applications in a cloud environment (AWS preferred)
- Multiple positions available for 3+ years (Mid) and 5+ years (Senior)
- Experience providing Windows Server administration support (Windows Server 2012/2016)
- Experience supporting Windows applications for system performance, loss prevention, and unauthorized access
- Experience with software quality management including working with the Micro Focus Application Lifecycle Management (ALM) testing and development tool
- Experience supporting testing using Worksoft and LoadRunner automated testing tools
- Experience with software learning using uPerform tool
- Experience with workflow automation using Control-M tool
- Experience with SQL is preferred
- Prior experience working in a DoD environment is preferred
- Effective written and verbal communication skills to support a blended technical and functional team with government and contractor staff
