Overview IDA is seeking a Lead Citrix Systems Engineer with extensive knowledge of Citrix Virtual Applications and Desktops (CVAD) and Virtual Desktop Infrastructure (VDI). Should be able to provide advanced services to analyze, design, implement and support CVAD. Experienced with leading a team through various IT projects and support.

Responsibilities In a team environment, the Lead Citrix Systems Engineer will lead a team with overall responsibilities for the full lifecycle of the CVAD systems. They will maintain and implement technological initiatives in regards to CVAD. To include:
  • Operations and maintenance, within classified and unclassified environments
  • Monitor and resolve performance and technical issues
  • Monitor for security related vulnerabilities, maintain security compliance and patch management
  • Manage security baseline in line with DISA STIGs
  • Manage Windows 10/11 and Server 2016/2019 OS full life cycle across the fleet VMs
  • Construct and deploy Windows Client and Server VMs using layering
  • Manage virtual applications
  • Represent the environment during inspections
  • Automate and standardize processes and procedures
  • Manage application baseline, integration and life cycle across the fleet of VMs
  • Mentor junior staff
  • Create and maintain SOPs

Qualifications
  • Bachelor of Science degree in Computer Science or related field coupled with eight years minimum experience in Information Technology, which includes at least six years in systems administration OR high school diploma with ten years minimum experience in Information Technology, which includes at least six years in systems administration.
  • Experience leading multiple projects, to include leading cross-functional team(s) in support of large projects.
  • Experience as a technical leader, mentoring/coaching of team members in hard and soft skills, delegating tasks, tracking and managing team's day to day goals, objectives and deliverables.
  • Possess advanced, subject matter expertise in design, administration, and support of servers, systems, and software, preferably Microsoft.
  • Experience with Windows as a Service, Microsoft System Center Configuration Manager, Window
  • Deployment Server, PXE, Patch Management, application life cycle support, McAfee Enterprise Policy Orchestrator, McAfee endpoint products, HBSS, and scripting languages desired.
  • Experience with CVAD, Citrix Workspace, Citrix Storefront, Published and Elastic applications, Ivanti AppSense/UWM, MS FSLogix, Citrix Studio, Citrix Workspace Environment Management, VMWare vSphere, Automation/Scripting, Software distribution, Systems management, Patching, Packaging, MECM, AGPM
  • Must be organized, self-motivated and able to work with minimal to no supervision.
  • Ability to communicate effectively in both written and verbal form and with all levels of employees; possess good interpersonal skills.
  • Project management experience.
  • Must be willing to work hours outside of a regular schedule.
  • Ability to obtain and maintain DOD 8570 IAT II certification.
  • DoD Secret Clearance preferred
  • U.S. Citizenship is required
  • Ability to obtain and maintain a security clearance is required
