We are in need of a motivated Model-Based Systems Engineer 4 to support our Mission Technologies Division, which has over 100 facilities worldwide and provides capabilities to support an all-domain force that includes artificial intelligence and machine learning, autonomous systems, critical nuclear operations, LVC systems, cyberspace strategies, and platform modernization. .

Essential Job Responsibilities

  • Employs a formalized application of modeling to support system requirements, design, analysis, verification and validation activities beginning in the conceptual design phase and continuing throughout development and later lifecycle phases.
  • These models are system relationship models and are useful for showing relationships among system functions, requirements, developers, and users.
  • This role supports subtasks for the SOF Special Reconnaissance capability area.

Minimum Qualifications

  • 9 years relevant experience with Bachelors in related field; 7 years relevant experience with Masters in related field; 4 years relevant experience with PhD or Juris Doctorate in related field; or High School Diploma or equivalent and 13 years relevant experience.
  • TS/SCI or TS with SCI eligibility clearance

Preferred Qualifications

  • Extensive background in design, implementation, and test, as well as analysis/reverse engineering of analog and digital electronic circuits and systems Many years of experience in defense systems acquisition, radar/electronic warfare (EW)/electronic attack (EA), sensors, signals intelligence (SIGINT), counter-improvised explosive device (C-IED), and unmanned aerial vehicles (UAVs).
  • Designs, develops, and implements timing, control, and complex signal processing algorithms on field programmable gate arrays (FPGAs) utilizing hardware description language (HDL), graphical design, and other advanced digital development tools with Altera and Xilinx devices.
  • Develops software to aid analyses; produces comprehensive graphical user interfaces (GUIs) for the control and download parameters for FPGA implementations using Visual BASIC. Specific Experience: Special project systems acquisition management (4.5 years), intelligence support management (2 years)Systems design and development (8.5 years), in addition to academic research (5 years) Systems engineering, research, modeling, and simulation (4 years); high power microwave (2+ years).
  • Electronic intelligence (ELINT) and countermeasures signal analysis (5 years), and information warfare (1 year) C-IED systems/IED intelligence research, and future IED threat projections (2 years). Management and research in autonomous control of UAVs (10 years part time as a Reservist)
