This is a highly technical role, providing post-sales on-site support of Seine client's network products. The Resident Engineer - Network Security will be required to develop and maintain expertise on the products deployed within their customer’s network. Due to Covid, this position will be a combination of remote and on-site support at the customer location.
Requirements- Minimum 7 - 10 years of hands-on network engineering experience
- Strong network engineering background with a primary focus on network security engineering on the SRX platform
- Strong understanding of Firewall policies, AppSecure, IPsec, and IDP
- Products to support: EX and SRX high-end platforms (experience on comparable technologies and systems acceptable)
- Familiarity with STIG checklists
- Active TS/SCI clearance
- Expert-level relationship management, communications skills, and interpersonal skills to manage face to face communications daily with multiple levels of customer management and engineering staff across multiple departments within the host company in a responsible and professional fashion
- Customer culture is typically various silos of expertise with multiple layers of technical responsibility (i.e. Router, Firewall, Network Management, IDP support would be all separate groups or individuals).
- Expert-level troubleshooting methodology to isolate and identify configuration, design, and software anomalies; ability to clearly articulate findings in written and verbal communications with development level engineering staff
- Ability to apply knowledge to real-world scenarios
- Demonstrated ability to manage multiple projects and work calmly under pressure
- Self-starter, team player, personable, enthusiastic, hardworking, and enjoy interfacing with customers on a day-to-day basis.
- Hands-on configuration and operational knowledge of other vendor products and their operation
