We are recruiting for a Cybersecurity Specialist to support policy planning and advising for a federal government program. Qualified candidates will have experience serving as a technical advisor and participating in working group meetings with a blended team of government and contractor personnel. Duties and responsibilities include:
  • Support the government leads developing proposed responses for tasks, coordinating draft responses with subject matter experts compiling the program response, scheduling and submitting the program response
  • Coordinate and facilitate interagency working group meetings
  • Gather and document meeting minutes, requirements and other meeting related requirements
  • Assist the government in translating end-user feedback and capability gaps into project requirements and turning those requirements into scope documents
  • Research and advise the government on enterprise environmental factors that can influence the organization and its projects
  • Advise and assist government staff in the development of standardized office policies, processes, and procedures
  • Advise and assist government staff in the development and implementation of processes to track all correspondence, deliverables and ensure it is completed in a timely matter
  • Assist the government staff in planning and organizing project-related meetings including scheduling meetings, capturing action items, documenting meeting minutes, and distributing minutes to attendees
  • Support Integrated Project Team (IPT) scheduling and activities
  • Support the development and maintenance of collaboration environments, to include but not limited to the government's organizational Microsoft SharePoint environment, functionality, content management, and training
  • Support the government with the planning and development of senior level presentations and briefings
  • Provide overall project management and analytical support to projects
  • Support policy development for strategy, strategic plans, and workflow process
  • Develop and manage project-related artifacts such as charters, schedules, risk registers, and status updates
  • Advise organizational leadership on change management best practices
  • Track and coordinate action items from initiation to execution
Requirements include:
  • U.S. citizenship
  • Current Secret security clearance (at a minimum) with eligibility for TS/SCI; current TS/SCI preferred
  • Eligibility to obtain DHS Suitability (required to start work)
  • 10+ years of related work experience with a master's degree (or bachelor's degree in a related discipline with 15 years of related work experience)
  • Advanced database management and maintenance skills
  • Proficiency using Microsoft Office including Microsoft Project, Visio, Excel
  • Experience developing strategic plans and work flow processes
  • Demonstrated experience in developing project-related artifacts such as charters, schedules, risk registers, and status updates
  • Expertise developing, writing and editing Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs)
  • Experience developing and supporting project related documents and organizational plans and processes
  • Ability to gather, organize and analyze information data
  • Experience working with Federally Funded Research and Development Center (FFRDC) working groups
  • Ability to draft policy documents for processes, system requirements, and future system enhancements
  • Ability to grasp technical concepts and translate information to a non-technical audience
  • Experience supporting technical challenges and solutions such as machine-to-machine capabilities and automated network defense solutions
  • Knowledge and understanding of basic network security principles
  • Experience working threat analysis
  • Understanding of the threat intelligence sharing standards and platforms like STIX/TAXII and Malware Information Sharing Platform (MISP) is a plus
  • Knowledge or awareness of how net defender leverage Indicators of Compromise (IOCs) protect networks is a plus
