Job Summary/Company:

Sparks Group is seeking a Cloud Engineer to join our Partner's data science and product development team, shaping, and building new analytical solutions to deploy in support of their defense clients. Responsibilities:

In this role you will design and develop cloud-based infrastructure and security solutions to transform and modernize applications for the clients. This person will be responsible for deploying and debugging cloud stacks, educating teams on new cloud initiatives, and ensuring the security of custom cloud infrastructure.

Qualifications/Background Profile:
  • Bachelor's degree in Information Science/Information Technology, Data Science, Computer Science, Engineering, Mathematics, Physics
  • 2+ years of experience in the development of cloud-computing solutions
  • AWS and/or Azure certifications (e.g. AWS Certified Solutions Architect Associate)
  • Experience with version control systems/tools (Git, GitHub)
  • Experience with CI/CD tools/pipelines (GitHub Actions, Jenkins, AWS CodePipeline)
  • Experience with a broad range of security technologies (e.g. NGFW, WAF, SIEM, endpoint security, etc.)
  • Understanding of secure-cloud configuration (CloudTrail, AWS Config, etc.), cloud-security technologies (VPC, Security Groups, etc.), and cloud-permission systems (IAM)
  • Due to government requirement, only US Citizens will be considered for this role
  • Active DoD Secret clearance: will accept a US Citizen who is clearable
