Tyler Technologies NIC - Federal Division is currently looking to hire a Solution Architect to join a team to support our Federal Sales team to support a variety of digital government projects, bringing together technology, payment processing, and marketing. This position will be located in the Greater DC Metro area and will be hybrid with a day or two in the office as needed. Office is located in Arlington, VA.
The Solution Architect will support new business capture by developing innovative technical solutions. The Solution Architect will be teamed with Sales and Operations personnel to help develop superior technical solutions and technical proposals to meet client needs. The Solution Architect will meet with clients to capture new business and deliver Orals Presentations.LocationArlington, Virginia | Washington, D.C.Travel0-5%Responsibilities- Define and drive the technical direction of prospective business opportunities, developing system architectures, and providing technical leadership for proposals and strategic pursuits
- Review RFP documents to understand scope of work and customer needs to develop an overarching technical solution and response
- Propose new and innovative solutions to the complex challenges
- Determine level of effort estimates for technical solutions
- Communicate solutions to customers, management, and teaming partners, including oral presentations, meetings, and white papers
- Develop technical approach and project plans, including scheduling of tasks, processes, and identifying critical resources, to turn the solution into a successful proposal
- Develop and write technical responses for winning proposals and RFI responses
- Review customer provided information and outside sources to understand potential issues/ problems currently faced and develop approach to solving these problems
- Stay current on latest technologies and solutions in the industry
- 10 years' experience in solution architecture and software development
- 5 years' experience supporting proposal efforts, involving the development of innovative new solutions
- 5 years' experience in Federal contracting and procurement
- 5 years' experience with modern web application development in a cloud environment
- Proficient in implementing Agile, Dev Ops and other SW development methodologies
- Exceptional leadership skills including the ability to make strategic as well as tactical decisions
- Excellent verbal and written communications skills; works with others to coordinate efforts, resolve cross-team issues and effectively communicate changes
- Demonstrated customer interface skills, including Oral Presentations for RFPs
- Proven ability to develop solutions of varying complexity for federal government organizations
- Ability to lead and support technical design and architecture development. This may include producing designs including requirements discovery and analysis, formulation of solution context, identification of solution alternatives and their assessment, technology selection, and design configuration
- Extensive technical breadth, through experience in the IT industry
- Experience with payment solutions
- Experience working with the Department of Transportation, Department of the Interior, Library of Congress, or other Federal Civilian agencies desired.
