We believe in challenging the status quo, fostering an environment of curiosity and learning, and, above all, putting our customers first.About the RoleSUMMARYThe Accounts Payable Specialist will report directly to the Accounts Payable Supervisor. The position provides direct support for processing the day-to-day vendor invoices and exceptions.RESPONSIBILITIESThe position is responsible for processing various types of accounts payable transactions, including data entry of vendor invoices, exception processing, and manual payment request. The position is also responsible for responding to vendor inquiries, the research of vendor statements, and generating accounts payable aging reports.

Verify coding of invoices according to Financial policies and procedures, to ensure proper entry into the financial system.

Handles all vendor correspondence via phone or email.

Investigates and resolves problems associated with processing of invoices.

Receives, researches and resolves a variety of routine internal and external inquiries concerning account status, including communicating the resolution of discrepancies to appropriate persons.

Performs other duties as required to support the Accounts Payable Department.

QualificationsBasic

3+ years’ experience of accounts payable processing experience.

Oracle, ARIBA or any other ERP system experience.

Associates Degree preferred but not required.

Preferred

Knowledge of Microsoft Office software applications; primarily Excel

Strong communication skills both verbal and written

Ability to collaborate effectively in a team-oriented environment

Ability to work independently, with a strong work ethic, self-motivation and problem-solving skills

Ability to multi-task and willingness to learn new skills

Must have initiative and be proactive with strong follow through to completion.

Attention to detail and high level of accuracy

Ability to organize and prioritize workload
