Business Process Engineer, LeadThe Challenge:

When an organization has multiple moving parts involved in its processes, it can be difficult for them to examine its processes critically. If they want to learn how to become more efficient and successful, they need a consultant who will take the time to learn their mission end-to-end and provide them with ways to change for the better. That's why we need you, an experienced business process spe cia list who knows how to analyze every aspect of your customer's operations and give them the steps to improve their process.

As a business process spe cia list on our team, you'll work with organizations to redesign business processes and provide clients with management consulting on organization redesign and new business processes. Maintain responsibility for managing multiple projects typically larger in size and provide clients with consulting on other effects of new business processes. Assist a business development team with writing and presenting proposals for moderately large or complex projects, perform as an advanced consultant with capability knowledge, excel at client delivery, and develop expertise in a specific area. Take a leadership role in generating intellectual capital to help the firm grow its business. Use developed relationships with clients, impart highly valued knowledge and t rus ted advice, and interact directly with senior-level clients. Develop competency in project and finan cia l management and become more involved in managing teams and formulating business strategies. Guide the progress of projects while mentoring junior staff in both firm and te chn ical competencies.

You Have:
  • 6+ years of experience with industry methods for process improvement, organizational design, organizational change management, or performance optimization, including managerial roles over staff with a top-tier consulting firm
  • 5+ years of experience with the facilitation of process improvement or business and organizational transformation workshops, sessions, or off-sites, including facilitation with senior and executive leaders
  • Experience with business development, whitepaper development, and new intellectual capital development
  • Ability to work up to 100% of the time alongside clients at locations in the National Capital Region
  • Secret clearance
  • Bachelor's degree
  • Lean Six Sigma Black Belt or Master Black Belt Certification

Nice If You Have:
  • 8+ years of experience with business process reengineering, IT acquisition, Clinger-Cohen Act Compliance, organizational change management, strategic communications, Lean Six Sigma, strategic planning, organizational design, integrated master scheduling, performance management, or overhead optimization
  • Experience with Micro sof t Office, including PowerPoint, Visio, Project, and Excel
  • Possession of excellent data gathering and analysis skills
  • Possession of excellent oral and written communication skills
  • Bachelor's degree in Business, Management, Economics, Government, Political Science, or Industrial Engineering
  • Business Process Modeling Notation ( BPMN ) or PMP Certification
