We are seeking an experienced Remote Cybersecurity Assessor to support the implementation and delivery of cybersecurity products and services within the United States Maritime Administration (MARAD). He/She will strengthen MARAD's cybersecurity program through proposal development, continuous sales support, and assistance in maintaining compliance and cybersecurity best practices. The candidate will work on a dynamic team comprised of ABS Group employees and highly engaged clients to meet fast-paced project requirements and provide end-user support. Every day, our team members analyze and design solutions to inform clients how to best address their most complex challenges and improve business operations. The ideal candidate is a team player, critical thinker, and problem solver that enjoys working in an energetic and collaborative environment. General Responsibilities:
  • Conduct on-asset Class Notation Surveys for MARAD vessels
  • Develop functional design documentation and perform engineering reviews
  • Prepare end-user documents such as business processes, workflow diagrams, and training materials
  • Exercise sound judgment to effectively anticipate and mitigate risks across the project life cycle
  • Advise team members in the satisfactory execution of deliverables to ensure on-time delivery with support from the Project Manager
  • Review client deliverables and provide actionable feedback to team members
  • Participate in analysis and proposed design of solutions to client business needs and ensure the proposed solution concepts are aligned with client expectations and constraints
  • Create performance metrics, collect performance data, and apply appropriate analytical techniques to demonstrate significant trends and inform decision making
  • Maintain a positive working environment and can-do attitude to foster productive and healthy team and client relationships

This should describe you:
  • Meticulous individual with strong interpersonal and collaboration skills
  • Established understanding of OT security principals, embedded security, and network platforms
  • Proven capability to produce reports suitable for delivery and explanation to both technical and non-technical audiences
  • Be willingly to travel up to 10%, domestic and international
  • Strong problem-solving skills with the capability to align available solutions to complex problems
  • Possess excellent presentation skills, including development, numeracy, and analysis skills
  • Reliable, client-focused, and capable of working productively under normal supervision with demanding timelines
  • Assumes ownership of projects and can prioritize assignments based on client needs
Basic Qualifications:
  • Bachelor's degree
  • 2 years experience in computer and network systems including IT/OT security
  • Must be a U.S. Citizen with the ability to obtain or maintain a U.S. security clearance
  • Familiar with the areas of IT/OT Security, Supervisor Control and Data Acquisition (SCADA), Distributed Control System (DCS) engineering, sales, and customer service globally.
Preferred Qualifications:
  • Experience in OT related to the offshore or maritime industries and environments
  • Bachelor's degree in Engineering or Computer Science or demonstrated equivalent work-related experience
  • Direct technical configuration and implementation of cyber security standards and controls
  • Demonstrated knowledge of ISO 27001, ISA/IEC 62443, NIST 800-53, or DISA STIGs
  • Proficiency-level professional certification (i.e., CompTIA Security )
  • Experience developing and delivering training to clients
