ABS Group is seeking a Dashboard Developer to join our Department of Homeland Security (DHS) National Risk Management Center (NRMC) team in Arlington, VA. This Data professional will lead the creation and application of tools for gathering, transformation, and preparation of data for analysis, visualization, and insight. Project Description: DHS NRMC SCRM is seeking support for evaluating various supply chain elements as it relates to Information and Communications Technology (ICT) present in the Nation's critical infrastructure. The work provides direct support to the NRMC and Cybersecurity and Infrastructure Security Agency (CISA) Intelligence government entities. The Supply Chain Risk Assessments are focused on delivery to multiple stakeholders enabling proactive identification and risk reduction to U.S. Critical Infrastructure. The work requires full time presence on-site to engage with the client on requirements for developing the performance dashboards.

Duties and Responsibilities:
  • Develop and deploy intuitive dashboard and data visualization products to help clients execute data-driven operations and monitor key performance metrics
  • Engage with clients to understand dashboard requirements, available data and its security requirements to propose, communicate, and discuss solution design concepts with clients
  • Implement best practices pertaining to capturing, tracking, and managing functional and technical requirements
  • Translate client business requirements into relevant and accurate solutions
  • Research and identify available data sources to support decision-making
  • Apply data mining tools to extract critical data from unstructured data sources and identify patterns that will improve our customers' operations
  • Perform descriptive and diagnostic analytics to help answer questions related to why things are happening
  • Meet deadlines in fast-paced, goal-oriented environment
  • Troubleshoot and debug errors
  • Write reports/documentation summarizing your work
  • Create technical documentation as needed
  • Contribute positive energy to the team
  • Share best practices and technical knowledge with other team members
  • Participate in technical meetings and workshops
  • Communicate your work to small audiences (10-20 people)
Qualifications:
  • Bachelor's Degree (in engineering, mathematics, economics, computer science, information management or statistics, or related technical field) or 4-6 years commensurate work experience
  • At least 2-4 years prior work experience preferred, with special emphasis on developing and deploying dashboards
  • Experience with multiple dashboard platforms (Power BI, Tableau, custom-coded)
  • Programming/scripting experience (minimum 2 languages)
  • Ability to work in a dynamic team environment and demonstrate superb written/verbal communication methods
  • Active TS/SCI clearance required
Preferred:
  • Microsoft Power Platform Experience (Power Apps, Power Automate, Power Query, Dataverse)
  • Relevant Associate/Expert Microsoft certification (e.g. Data Analyst Associate, Power Platform App Maker Associate, Power Platform Solution Architect Expert, etc.)
  • Advanced Excel experience (e.g. VBA, Query Editor/PowerQuery)
  • Experience with data analysis languages (e.g., SQL, Python, R)
  • Detail-oriented
  • Familiarity with the software development lifecycle phases of requirements, design, build, and test
