Data Architect to work in our

Arlington, VA office. General Description: ECS plays an integral role in providing Data Architecture support for the Army Global Force Information Management (GFIM) Program. There are 6 domains in the Business Mission Area, and our contract is in support of the Training and Readiness (T&R) Domain. The objective of the Program is designing the GFIM Objective Environment (GFIM OE). The GFIM OE consists of sunsetting 13 portfolio management systems which support Force Managers' ability to plan, design the force, mobilize forces and retrograde forces as needed. The Data Architect will be responsible for the modeling of data assets for in support of the GFIM Modernization effort. Responsibilities: • Development of the conceptual and logical data models which are Army Business Enterprise Architecture (ABEA) and Office of Business Transformation (OBT) compliant. • Conduct data mining and data call workshops with Key Stakeholders, System Owners and Functional SMEs as needed. • Developing the corresponding Data Reference Model to support the reuse of data. • Modeling DIV-1, DIV2 models compliant to Army Business Enterprise Architecture and GFM DI standards. • Establishing and executing the plan for migrating legacy data into a new data construct. • Planning, designing, and managing the implementation of data structures, data warehouse, and relational database best practices. • Provide recommendations on data migration best practices, conduct data source analysis. Required Skills and Experience:
  • Minimum 5+ years' of related experience
  • Strong modeling and reporting experience with EKR/ARIS
  • Demonstrate experience with DoDAF 2.0, SDLC, or IT Strategy
  • Clear communication and briefing skills
  • Bachelor's Degree
  • Clearance: Secret Clearance
Desired Skills:
  • Clearance: Must have an Active Secret Clearance; Interim Secret Clearance is acceptable
