Defense Research Engineering ConsultantKey Role:Provide technical support in monitoring the execution of advanced technology development and prototype demonstration programs. Perform independent technical assessments and feasibility analyses of new technologies and system designs. Attend, monitor, and report on testing and demonstrations. Author program status briefings and technical reports. Work without direction.Basic Qualifications:- Experience supporting the research and development of advanced Ground Systems, Maritime Systems, including Surface and Undersea, Air Systems, or Space Systems
- Experience supporting the DoD in the research and development of new ideas, program, concepts, and technologies
- Knowledge of DoD program planning and execution
- Knowledge of the technologies and operational use of military platforms and weapon systems across Air, Space, Maritime, and Ground domains
- Ability to conduct technology and military needs analysis, including assessments of scientific and technological advances by universities and industry and government entities, and recommendations for ongoing and active efforts
- Ability to analyze, interpret, and translate technical ideas and issues into easily understood, clear, and concise statements
- Secret clearance
- Bachelor's degree
