Job Description

Candidate must possess significant Power Platform (Power BI, Power Apps, Power Automate) experience, Lead, direct and review the team's work to achieve operational or functional targets or objectives with measurable contribution towards the achievement of immediate and short-term results for the team and department, Establish and communicate team goals that support internal and external client objectives to establish metrics or other performance measures to track progress, Understand and explain policies, practices and procedures within immediate area of responsibility to stakeholders within and outside of the team, Work closely with stakeholders to evaluate business requirements and advise on appropriate informative views and dashboards, Design, develop, deploy, monitor, report and improve enterprise process data visualization, Develop Power Platform reports, dashboards, publish reports to power BI service and establish gateway refresh schedules using DAX and PowerPivot BI, Ability to investigate new tools, tool capabilities and engage with Business to propose, manage, and implement solutions, Provide best practices and guidance regarding use of ELT/ETL, data modeling, and reporting deliverables, Work on complex data modelling and design patterns for BI/Analytics reporting requirements, Develop Proof of concepts to mockup complex reporting requirements with upcoming technologies on Microsoft Analytics platform, Hands-on knowledge of SQL Server SQL, Microsoft Azure as well as strong understanding of relational and dimensional data modeling, Ability to document business requirements and translate into technical reporting specifications, Ability to work independently with management and business users gathering requirements with high attention to detail and focused on the timely completion of deliverables, Experience in writing and understanding SQL and other 4th generation coding languages. Deep understanding of dimensional modelling concepts, Proven ability in designing Power Platform solutions to report against large volumes of data and experience tuning reports and queries, Proven experience reporting against industry standard database platforms including Oracle, Microsoft Azure, SQL Server, Snowflake, etc. Working Environment Hybrid or Remote This position offers a Hybrid or Remote working environment. Meaning if you live within a metro area of a Cerner office, you will split working time between a Cerner office and remote. If you are not within a metro area of a Cerner office, you can live and work in your current geographical location and work primarily remote. #LI-Hybrid #Remote

Qualifications

Basic Qualifications
  • 8 years total combined related work experience and completed higher education, including:
    • 2 years report building work experience, including experience using business intelligence (BI) tools and programming languages such as SQL
    • 6 years additional work experience directly related to the duties of the job and/or completed higher education, including:
      • Bachelor's degree in Mathematics, Computer Science, Information Technology, related field, or equivalent, relevant work experience

Expectations
  • Willing to travel up to 20% as needed
  • Willing to work additional or irregular hours as needed and allowed by local regulations
  • Work in accordance with corporate and organizational security policies and procedures, understand personal role in safeguarding corporate and client assets, and take appropriate action to prevent and report any compromises of security within scope of position
  • Perform other responsibilities as assigned
  • Must currently reside in, or be willing to relocate to, Kansas City, MO
