DescriptionJoin Amazon's Workforce Solutions Recruiting Operation Center (ROC) as a Sr. Technical Program Manager III, where you'll drive strategic initiatives to streamline and optimize our technical operations for Amazon Talent Acquisition (ATA). You'll play a pivotal role in enhancing our software development lifecycle, identifying risks and interdependencies, and proposing enterprise-level solutions to improve efficiency and reduce manual effort across our global teams.In this role, you'll be responsible for driving a consistent and standardized reporting of the entire ATA tech roadmap, enabling us to effectively forecast delivery. You'll audit existing technical mechanisms across ATA tech teams, identifying areas for improvement and proposing strategic solutions to streamline operations and communications while managing expectations. Additionally, you'll optimize resource allocation through the annual process for resource and strategic planning, as well as the development and reporting of departmental goals and initiatives. Your expertise in product development lifecycle optimizations and enterprise tech solutions will be invaluable in identifying consistent pitfalls and proposing strategic solutions for our tech teams.Key job responsibilitiesKey job responsibilities Driving a consistent and standardized reporting of the entire ATA tech roadmap. Auditing existing technical mechanisms across ATA tech teams, identifying areas for improvement and proposing strategic solutions to streamline operations and communications. Track work streams across multiple cross-functional stakeholders to ensure that initiatives are meeting financial and operational goals. Support the annual process for resource and strategic planning. Drive standardized product development lifecycle across all ATA tech. Utilize what-if analysis to see how team project’s duration, cost, or resource allocation would change if the scope, sequence, or duration of certain activities was modified, add or remove dependencies, or adjust the availability or productivity of resources. Identify and quantify the risks and opportunities associated with different scenarios and compare the trade-offs between them.About the teamThe ROC’s mission is to enable Amazon Talent Acquisition’s (Amazon TA) to measure and create balance in recruiting processes’ quality, consistency, efficiency, and effectiveness. We do this through creating business mechanisms and sequencing technology capabilities that improve Amazon TA and candidate outcomes. The ROC will assist Amazon TA’s business transformation by improving recruiting processes’ quality, consistency, and efficacy through business routines and processes that enable Amazon TA to meet its business demand with flexibility and agility. This remit will eventually extend to all teams that touch the hiring process today. This external group consists of Bar Raisers, Hiring Managers, Interviewers, and Amazon TA management.Basic Qualifications
5+ years of technical product or program management experience
7+ years of working directly with engineering teams experience
3+ years of software development experience
5+ years of technical program management working directly with software engineering teams experience
Experience managing programs across cross functional teams, building processes and coordinating release schedules
Preferred Qualifications
5+ years of project management disciplines including scope, schedule, budget, quality, along with risk and critical path management experience
Experience managing projects across cross functional teams, building sustainable processes and coordinating release schedules
Experience defining KPI's/SLA's used to drive multi-million dollar businesses and reporting to senior leadership
PMI Certified
Experience using what-if analysis
Knowledge of the concepts of crashing a project timeline

The base pay for this position ranges from $133,900/year in our lowest geographic market up to $231,400/year in our highest geographic market. Pay is based on a number of factors including market location and may vary depending on job-related knowledge, skills, and experience. Amazon is a total compensation company.
