This position is located in the Cybersecurity and Infrastructure Security Agency (CISA), Office of the Chief Human Capital Officer (OCHCO). The OCHCO assists CISA leadership in building an organization and workforce that is effective, agile, and able to respond to emerging risks and challenges in support of mission accomplishments. Responsibilities The primary purpose of the position is to serve as the Deputy Chief Human Capital Officer. Typical work assignments include:
  • Fully sharing with the Chief Human Capital Officer the direction of all phases of the organization's program and work.
  • Providing senior leadership with expert strategic advice and subject matter expertise, policy direction, and management advice for the full range of human resources activities.
  • Assuming responsibility for effective manpower utilization and administrative management.
  • Evaluating operations as they pertain and contribute to the Cybersecurity and Infrastructure Security Agency's primary mission and programs.
  • Performing the full range of supervisory and human resources management functions.
  • Providing management with options and recommendations for effective human resources program operations.

Qualifications You qualify for the GS-15 grade level (starting salary $144,128.00) if you possess one year of specialized experience at the GS-14 grade level performing the following duties: 1. Advising senior management officials on the full range of human resources activities, such as recruitment/staffing, classification, benefits, pay administration, awards, etc. 2. Interpreting human resources regulation and/or policy for implementation within the organization. 3. Identifying solutions to complex human resources problems. 4. Evaluating the effectiveness of human resources operations and program administration. 5. Managing/overseeing personnel functions (i.e., assigning work, evaluating performance, identifying training needs, etc.).

Promotion Potential: This position is at the full performance level. This is a supervisory position. Under provisions of the Civil Service Reform Act, first time supervisors and/or managers will be required to serve a one-year probationary period. You may also be required to complete an appropriate supervisory training course within one year of assignment to this position.
