Riverside Research is seeking a Senior Accountant for our Crystal City, VA office. We offer free garage parking. All positions at Riverside Research require U.S. Citizenship

Job Description: • Assist with the month/year-end close by preparing journal entries, research and analyze transactions, and revenue recognition• Support annual and other scheduled audits by preparing schedules, responding to inquiries and supplying auditors with the information requested• Prepare month/annual internal and external financial reports and schedules• Develop solutions to resolve accounting issues, including researching FAR, CAS and GAAP• Reconcile monthly balance sheet accounts to supporting documentation and subledgers • Create, revise and update Policy, Process and Procedures as directed• Provide back up support for Billing and AP review as needed• Backup travel and p-card administrator• As needed, provide accounting support with special projects relating to budgets, retirement plans, certifications, new system implementations• Provide guidance and direction as part of daily interactions with other senior and staff accountants

Requirements: • Must be able to obtain and maintain a DoD Security Clearance• Minimum 5-7 years of Accounting Experience, preferably in the Defense Government Contracting Industry • Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance or related field preferred, CPA preferred• 2-5 years Deltek Costpoint 8.0 or higher, including Business Intelligence (BI) experience• Experience with Accounting Principles, FASB, GAAP rules and regulations• Ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously, under frequently changing priorities and strict deadlines• Intermediary Knowledge of Microsoft Excel, Word and PowerPoint tools• Strong Organizational Skills to manage multiple tasks • Strong Oral and written communication skills to effectively interact with multiple levels of management • Excellent Analytical Skills
