This client has been successfully delivering Modernization, DevSecOps, Cloud, and Analytics digital services to federal agencies for 25+ years. The client is seeking a Senior DBA developer to identify operational and processing problems, evaluate alternative approaches, and perform, plan, and implement recommended resolutions. This is 6 months contract to hire. $60-80/hr DOE.

Responsibilities: • Reviews, evaluates, designs, implements and maintains database(s). • Identifies data sources, constructs data decomposition diagrams, provides data flow diagrams and documents the process. • Codes, tests, and implements physical database, applying knowledge of database management system. • Designs logical and physical databases (Transactional and Dimensional) or reviews description of changes to database design. • Analyses, summarizes and/or reviews data; reports findings; interprets results and/or makes recommendations. Skills / Abilities: • Experience with the following databases, Oracle, MS SQL Server, Optional Knowledge of "Sybase," is a plus. • Experience with the following administrative tools: Linux, Oracle EM, Windows SQL server management, Shell/Batch Scripting. • Experience with the following tools: ER/Studio, Shell/Batch Scripting, SQL Developer, SSMS. Datastage and Sybase Central is a plus. • Ability to write SQL code and test it. • ETL proficiency is preferred. Knowledge/Skills/Abilities: • Bachelor's degree in related field, or specialized technical training of equivalent length • 7 - 10+ years of experience in Data/Databases • Development Experience in SQL and PL/SQL Programming in Oracle • Exp with creating Tables, Views, Indexes and Sequences • Develop PL/SQL Packages, Stored Procedures, Functions, Triggers • Experience in designing data models, database Schema creation and management • Experience with Performance Tuning Applicants must be currently authorized to work in the United States on a full-time basis now and in the future.Vacancy expired!
