Do it here.What you’ll be doingYou will be a strategic member of the Energy Team whose primary focus is to reduce Verizon’s 1B+ dollars annual utility expenditures. You will need to maintain awareness of various incentive programs to show trends in rebates by type and geography. Build and maintain strong relationships with over 400 utilities across the nation to keep on the forefront of trends, regulations, and changes in their programs. You will identify and analyze program trends to provide recommendations and insights to management, communicate to upper management performance of rebate programs towards multi-million dollar annual objectives.This position will require general knowledge of utility billing, efficiency measures, and an ability to interpret and communicate energy rebate/incentive application requirements. You will work closely with Facility/Planning Managers, Architects, vendors, and utilities to qualify rebate opportunities, and then be responsible for driving the rebate application through to completion. This may include coordination with local and state agencies, conducting pre/post site visits, acquiring and interpreting pertinent information regarding facility and/or equipment specifications, calculating savings opportunities utilizing energy engineering standards, and finally providing overall program management.Independently determine greatest revenue impact, assess opportunities, assign resources and resolve challenges in qualifying for rebates.

Prioritize and delegate workload focusing on highest value projects compared to resources available.

Screen and qualify the feasibility of energy efficiency and capital improvement opportunities.

Preparation and submission of job specifications to utilities; ensure payments are received within the required timeframes and conditions.

Suggest alternative project materials that meet rebate criteria in cases where products presented failed to meet the criteria.

Manage pre and post inspections of energy conservation measures, ensuring all measurement requirements are fulfilled.

Evaluate equipment manufacturer’s drawings and cut sheets to determine if it meets rebate criteria, and estimate the associated rebate potential.

Develop and run energy screening models to calculate energy payback analysis.

Utilize manufacturers web based tools; such as the Bard E-Tools and COMcheck, along with various formulas for lighting, Energy Management Systems (EMS) and HVAC equipment to determine energy reductions and associated savings.

Develop templates and forms to streamline processes and document identified process enhancements.

Provide guidance to peers, vendors, and internal customers.

What we’re looking forYou’ll need to have:Bachelor’s degree or one or more years of work experience.

Professional experience within Energy sector.

Willingness to travel.

Even better if you have one or more of the following:Technical and business competency.

Experience with utility rebate and incentive programs.

Understanding of electric, gas and water rate and tariff structures.

Demonstrated ability to manage multiple projects, set priorities, drive results, meet deadlines & conduct proper risk analysis.

Demonstrated attention to detail and organization skills.

Solid analytical and data management skills.

Ability to communicate effectively through written and oral interchange.

Proficient working knowledge of MS Project, MS Word, MS Excel, and MS PowerPoint.
