(international travel 10% of the time)Must Have:- Processing and analyzing the data collected from the field.- Experience with report generating - excel , specifically with RF measurement report experience is huge advantage!- Be able to work under strict deadlines.- Understanding with RF measurements.- Understanding of Earth Station Engineering.Nice to have:- Proficient with automation and macro experience - must be able to manage about 1,600 measurements per site.RF Analyst background experience is highly preferred and would succeed in the role.JOB SUMMARY• This position is responsible for performance technical analyses, completing preliminary and final earth station designs for the client's business unit. The position will compile data obtained from on-site earth station RF measurements and site surveys into final reports. The candidate may on occasion perform on-site field surveys and RF measurements. Extensive experience with MS office suite is required for this position. Previous experience in report automation is a plus.• This position works as part of a team with other engineers, technical assistants, project managers, and departments. Candidates for this position must consistently exhibit good customer service skills orally and in writing. This includes satisfactory turn-around time on projects, good organization, keeping the client informed of work status, and being responsive to client requests.• Candidates must also be able to travel (up to 25% of the time) and function autonomously in the field. Travel will be required when conducting RF field measurements or site surveys. Candidates will be required to stand, walk and sit for an extended period while preforming duties. While working in the field candidates may be required to work outside in adverse weather conditions. Candidates will be required to lift up to 70 lbs. occasionally. Candidates will need passport as domestic and international travel may be required.DUTIES & RESPONSIBILITES• Compile technical reports utilizing field collected RF measurements and site survey data• Provide technical assistance to field personnel while they are on-site performing RF measurements and site surveys• Occasionally conduct on-site RF measurements and site surveys to identify potential RF interference and antenna placement locations• Serve as liaison between client, industry consultants and internal engineering staff• Conduct RF interference analyses and compile reports using relevant software• Prepare and explain interference analysis reports for client and/or project manager review• Understand technical bulletins, documents and white papersQUALIFICATIONS• A completed bachelor’s degree in a technical field -AND- 2-5 years relevant experience• Experience with a spectrum analyzer, signal generator, power meter and other RF test equipment• Ability to travel (25% of the time) and function autonomously in the field. Will need passport as domestic and international travel may be required.• Previous military experience a plus• FCC amateur radio license a plus• Qualified candidates will have a working knowledge of:o RF interference analysiso Earth station site designo RF propagationo Experience with geographic coordinate systems and map datumso Proficiency in Windows suite of office toolsApplicants must provide their phone number.
