Overview
VariQ is in search of a Configuration Manager responsible for hardware and software configurations on field-deployed systems. The individual will be responsible for tracking hardware and software versions and ensuring fielded systems meet minimum operational requirements.Additional Information:- Location: Ashburn, VA with some travel outside of the Washington, DC area
- Salary: Dependent upon experience
- Security Clearance: An existing Public Trust or other agency clearance (e.g. DoD)
- Availability: upon award, currently in the proposal stage
- Plan and execute CM throughout the project lifecycle, including development, migration, deployment, and security
- Review migration plans
- Review and update configuration management processes
- Describes provisions for configuration identification, change control, configuration status accounting and configuration audits.
- Identifies and maintains the original configuration of requirement s documentation, design documentation, and related documentation.
- Responsible for configuration change control.
- Regulates the change process so that only approved and validated changes are incorporated into product documents and related software.
- Responsible for configuration status accounting. Tracks all problems and changes in product documents and reports changes and current configuration.
- Responsible for configuration audits.
- Supports audits to verify that requirements of all baselines have been met.
- Supports the quality assurance process audits.
- Experience developing, implementing, and maintain a Configuration Management (CM) Plan
- Experience implementing and maintain CM activities for CM work products and interfaces
- Experience in configuration identification, configuration control, status accounting, preparing audits of original equipment manufacturer (OEM) hardware model numbers, and preparing audits of software by major version number
- Experience enforcing compliance with agency policies and procedures and with a Quality Control Plan
- Experience coordinating a configuration management plan amongst various parties
- Knowledge of industry/government best practices
- U.S. Citizenship
- Ability to pass a CBP Full Background Investigation
- Bachelor's degree in a relevant field
- An existing Public Trust or other agency clearance (e.g. DoD)
