Senior Cloud Security Engineer for a Direct Hire opportunity with desirable location being Ashburn, VA. Client will go back to Hybrid on-site model in January 2022. JOB DESCRIPTION In this critical leadership role for public cloud security for cyber security engineering , you will take a lead role in the continued innovation of Client's Cyber Security strategy and drive Client's competitive advantage in payments by facilitating a best-in-class security infrastructure. You will be responsible for leading a premier engineering team that develops, operates, and supports a heterogeneous security infrastructure on a global scale. You will lead the Cyber Security Engineering program on public cloud program across the different groups within and outside Client, and while doing so will perform the role of a strategic thinker and have the operational gravitas to run one of the best technical functions in the company. In this role, you will also work with Client's senior leadership. Job Scope- Provide leadership and direction in the innovation of cloud security technologies and provide hands-on expertise to solve cloud, hybrid cloud and general security challenges
- Be passionate in the pursuit of securing Client's data and critical assets
- Collaborate with colleagues in technology departments as well as the business and product offices to establish effective, productive business relationships.
- Designing Cloud security engineering including deployment , design , operations, migration and security setup.
- Senior team member of Client's Cloud Security engineering , who are responsible global solution coverage on cloud including designing , deployment , operations , migration, and management.
- Would be responsible for CSMP and cloud security automation
- Work with stakeholders, mentoring and providing technological guidance on cloud security.
- Develop and nurture team of security team by motivating and mentoring and assist in hiring critical talent.
- Effectively manage cross-functional internal and external team collaboration, and communications.
- Prioritization, planning of projects and features, stakeholder management and tracking of external commitments
- Respond to and assist with due diligence and internal / external security audit requests.
- Represent Client at international information security and cyber security communities globally.
- Supports, implements, and promotes standard configuration and change management, processes, and practices
- Identify opportunities for further enhancements and refinements to security standards and processes.
- 5 or more years of relevant work experience with a bachelor's degree or at least 2 years of work experience with an Advanced degree (e.g., Masters, MBA, JD, MD) or 0 years of work experience with a PhD
- 6 or more years of work experience with a bachelor's degree or 4 or more years of relevant experience with an Advanced Degree (e.g., Masters, MBA, JD, MD) or up to 3 years of relevant experience with a PhD
- Minimum Bachelor engineering degree in a technical field such as computer science, computer engineering etc.
- At least 8+ years of total experience in the field of cyber security .
- At least 3+ years of experience and hands-on expertise in cloud security management such as infrastructure, architecture design (application and infra), migration and operations for enterprise workloads . This includes working expertise with Amazon Web Services (AWS) or Google Cloud or Azure Cloud at scale.
- Knowledge of Governance/Compliance/Standards such as NIST ,OWASP CSA, GDPR ISO 27001, FedRAMP, GovCloud, etc. .
- Knowledge and understanding across a wide range of technology domains and application frameworks and have ability to quickly grasp relationships of various disciplines
- Excellent expertise in DevSecOps and CI/CD implementation.
- Programming experience with at least one modern language such as Java, Python, JavaScript including object-oriented design and scripting.
- Experience with security of architecture and design (design , security controls) , distributed database, distributed computing and high frequency transactions is a big plus
- Experience delivering large scale, highly available security solutions
- Excellent communication skills with Strong business and technical vision
- Experience demonstrating strong leadership, self-motivation, and accountability
- Experience on leading complex projects cross-functionally and globally
- Financial services and card payments experience is a plus
- Must have certifications AWS cert - Professional Sol Architect or AWS Security specialty. Google Cloud Platform cert: Professional Cloud Security Engineer. Azure Cert: AZ303/304
- Good to have certifications - ISC2 CISSP,CCSP, OSCP
