Production Mechanic
Are you hardworking and dependable and looking to join our Philip Morris USA maintenance team as a Production Mechanic (Fixer) in Richmond, Virginia? If yes, then please read more to apply.
You will be expected to perform a variety of machine and equipment repair and maintenance activities on different types of equipment.
The following is a list of examples of the types of activities that you will perform on the job:
Repairing machinery and equipment
Troubleshooting equipment malfunctions
Working with hand and power tools
Working with measuring tools
Rebuilding various machinery subassemblies and components
Identifying and replacing faulty or work parts
Performing routine preventive maintenance
Responding to trouble calls
Reading machine schematics or parts prints
Reading machine and/or procedures manuals
Operating equipment to ensure repairs have been made
This is not a complete list of the activities that may be required.
Qualified applicants will:
Be at least 18 years of age
Be eligible to work in the U.S. and for the Altria family of companies
Be available to work any shift, and must be willing to work overtime, weekends and holidays
Possess journeyman mechanical credentials or relevant mechanical maintenance experience in manufacturing/military environments
The starting wage for these positions is $33.71 per hour and additional compensation may be available through our manufacturing incentive program. Wages increase over 36 months.

Deferred Profit Sharing Contributions also known as a 401K:
If you contribute to the plan, you will eligible for a dollar-for-dollar match of what you invest, up to a 3% of compensation that you contribute, after just 90 days of service
Eligible to receive an annual DPS contribution, after one year of service of 8-12% based on Company performance
Company Supplemental Contribution: Eligible to receive an annual supplemental contribution from the Company of 5%, after one year of service
