Job Title: Senior Web Platform Engineer Location: Remote (Virginia EST) Terms: Permanent/direct hire Salary: $80-100,000 base pay plus benefits Benefits: Paid holiday's, Paid vacation, Paid sick leave, health, vision, dental, retirement/401K match, and morePosition Summary: The Senior Web Platform Engineer is responsible for the content management platform. This person will manage the infrastructure and ensure the security and availability of the Adobe Experience Manager platform.Required Qualifications:- Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related field or equivalent training and/or work experience.
- Three plus years of experience administering Apache HTTPD.
- Three or more years of experience with Linux/UNIX systems and the best practices for deploying applications to those stacks.
- A solid understanding of networking and core Internet protocols (e.g. TCP/IP, DNS, SMTP, HTTP, TLS, SSH, PKI and distributed networks).
- Broad understanding of technology architecture and the complexities of enterprise-level applications.
- Experience administering HTTPD at enterprise scale (100s of hosts, load balanced, HA).
- Experience administering Adobe Experience Manager (AEM).
- Experience with content delivery networks (CDNs).
- Experience developing or supporting solutions in Docker.
- Experience managing solutions in an AWS environment.
- Experience administering Java web applications.
- Experience using configuration, orchestration, and automation tools such as Ansible, Chef, Puppet, etc.
- Ensure the security and availability of all tiers of the Adobe Experience.
- Ensure backups are taken and tested. Ensure logs are reviewed.
- Develop and implement disaster recovery and continuity of operations plans.
- Propose, plan, coordinate and implement AEM upgrades and patches.
- Troubleshoot and resolve incidents related to AEM.
- Research and propose improvements to processes and infrastructure.
- Support the application delivery team in providing application delivery platform(s) for the effective delivery of enterprise applications.
- Propose platform and process improvements.
- Cross train in the support of applications on various platforms.
- Act as a Subject Matter Expert to the organization for AEM.
- Communicate and collaborate with DBAA and Enterprise Systems customers to develop solutions and resolve problems.
- Participate in regular meetings with customer groups to ensure timely completion of projects.
