Seibold Security specializes in designing and implementing tailored security systems for museums, universities and corporations and is seeking a Software Support Technician for our Christiansburg, VA office.
This position will focus on the software support and administration of our fully integrated security software applications. Success in this position will require an individual who can rapidly grow into new skill sets and responsibilities.
Primary Responsibilities:
Provide customer software support via phone and email
Utilize remote software to assist customers in resolving technical issues
Troubleshooting, maintenance and customer installations
Document all calls, record all activity and communication regarding incidents and customer interactions.
Assist with building power panels and other hardware
Position Requirements:
Good understanding of software development methodology
Must be a team player with excellent communication and analytical skills
Must be able to act independently under general direction and provide technical support to projects and continuous improvement efforts.
Self-motivated, detail oriented and organized
Installation/Troubleshooting/Testing experience with computer hardware and software a plus
Experience with SQL, preferably Microsoft SQL Server a plus
