We are seeking an experienced Infrastructure Engineer to be part of a fast-paced, dynamic team working on a cutting edge program in support of national security objectives. The Infrastructure Engineer is responsible for virtualization, hardware engineering, and network engineer duties. Typical duties include:- Virtualization - Design, build and deploy virtual systems for highly available, fault tolerant on premise, cloud, and hybrid environments. Analyze requirements and provide technical expertise on cluster computing techniques and other approaches to increase availability and efficiency. Support IT with day-to-day operations like monitoring, problem resolution, managing infrastructure vulnerabilities, and deployment issues. For AWS services, configure virtual private clouds (VPCs), create EC2 instances, create public and private subnets, create auto scaling groups, configure load balancers, configure security groups, and create users and groups in cloud environments.
- Hardware Engineering - Research, design, develop, and test computer systems and components, with special emphasis on hardware designed for high end, high performance data analytics (AI, ML, NLP, and Graph technologies).
- Network Engineering - Design, configure, and maintain network infrastructure(s) to include performing network designs, configuring network integration, and ensuring optimal network performance. Prepare technical proposals, including engaging security lead, for Client's review boards prior to network changes. Support O&M, develop Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs), and perform impact assessment and analysis of alternatives (AoA) on requests for network modifications.
- Active TS/SCI clearance; CI poly preferred
